Prepping in small spaces is a topic we’ve discussed, but we have not discussed space issues in a bug out vehicle.

How to Keep Your Car Prepped for Survival
https://www.backdoorsurvival.com/how-to-keep-your-car-prepped-for-survival/

A common bug out or survival strategy is to simply outfit a vehicle with all the necessary supplies and resources you would need. When you’re preparing for an emergency, your vehicle is a good place to store certain items since it’ll likely be your quickest path to safety. More importantly, once you have supplies on board, you can keep moving. That is until something prevents you from doing so, like low fuel or a bad battery. ---CONTINUED---

Considering the type of men we are, it only makes sense that the vehicles we like would tend to be the kind that we can climb up the side of a mountain and disappear into the wilderness with.

I have to say, I’ve seen some rather extreme bug out vehicles through the years. ---CONTINUED---

How Would YOU Get Around If the SHTF? All-Season Transportation Options
https://www.theorganicprepper.com/shtf-transportation-options/

If the SHTF, what is your primary means of “conveyance or travel from one place to another?” If fuel availability is in question, that lift or ride might not be an option. And your options will change with the weather if you live in a place with distinct seasons.

Keep in mind that transportation isn’t just about bugging out fifty miles to your lodge. You’ll still have to get around on a regular basis for a variety of reasons. ---CONTINUED---

17 Bug Out Vehicle Mistakes To Avoid
https://urbansurvivalsite.com/bug-out-vehicle-mistakes/

8 Efficient Transportation Options for SHTF
https://rethinksurvival.com/8-efficient-transportation-options-for-shtf/

(SNIP) ... When it comes to most SHTF scenarios, these forms of mass transportation will likely vanish fairly quickly. Anything that offers flight requires massive amounts of fuel and teams of people to keep everything running smoothly and safely.

The same thing applies to ground-based transportation as well, regardless of the type. If things really hit the fan, it will end up being every person for themselves, and that is how we’re going to have to reshape our concept of transit. ---CONTINUED---
