The need to plan and prepare for avian inflluenza outbreaks and a possible human influenza pandemic is urgent, and the Secretary General has directed all offices to produce detailed plans on how to protect staff, continue operations and support national efforts during a pandemic. This will require offices updating their medical staff contingency plans, and extending planning to include continuity of operations and supprot to national preparedness efforts. .... continued at above link
