Water Does NOT Go Bad

Just why do we need to store water? How much should we store? What else do we need to know?

Water does not spoil. It does get contaminated. Water keeps forever. If it is contaminated, dont throw it out. Filter it, then use 8-10 drops of clorox per gallon. You can even boil it after the clorox. After a whild the water may lose O2. This will make it taste stale. Just pour it from one container to another several times. This will put the O2 back in.

Is Bottled Water Still Safe To Drink After the Expiration Date?
http://www.stilltasty.com/questions/index/26/page:1

Question: I bought some bottled water to have stored away in case of emergency. The "best before" date on the plastic bottles has now passed. Is it still safe?

Answer: From a safety perspective, you have nothing to worry about.

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, unopened commercially bottled water will keep safe indefinitely, as long as the bottles remain properly sealed and aren't damaged.

After long-term storage, the bottled water's appearance, smell or taste may change somewhat, but the water will still be safe to consume, says the FDA.

And while bottled water manufacturers are permitted to put expiration dates on their labels, these dates are meant to be indicators of quality, not safety.

WATER - GETTING STARTED

Properly stored water does NOT go bad. However, it may taste stale. To improve the taste, just pour your water from one container into another one. Do this several times. This will aerate the water (put oxygen back in).
