•7-10 day supply of feed and water
•Antibiotic ointment (for wounds)
•Antibiotic eye ointment
•Bandage scissors
•Bandage tape
•Betadine® (povidone-iodine) or Nolvasan® (chlorhexidine), scrub and solution
•Cotton bandage rolls
•Cotton-tipped swabs
•Elastic bandage rolls
•Eye rinse (sterile)
•Gauze pads and rolls
•Non-adherent bandage pads
•Heavy gloves (leather)
•Diet: record the diet for your animals
•Twitch
•Hoofpick
•Medications: list each animal separately, and for each medication include the drug name, dose and frequency. Minimum 2 week supply if possible. Provide veterinary and pharmacy contact information for refills.
•Isopropyl alcohol/alcohol prep pads
•Knife (sharp, all-purpose)
•Latex gloves or nonallergenic gloves
•Saline solution (for rinsing wounds)
•Sterile lubricant (water-based)
•Thermometer (digital)/stethoscope
•Tourniquets
•Tweezers/hemostat
•Clean buckets
•Consult your veterinarian about other medications you may wish to carry
