If you scroll down towards the end, there are suggestions for non-electric charging of USB devices. If you run a generator, to power outlets in your home, you can use that for usb devices, as well. As long as there is natural gas, you might be oke with a home generator Having usb devices, you could consider having some additional USB devices as first back up, with battery devices and 2nd back up.
