The Flu Survival Kit Under the circumstances, having a supply of over-the-counter products and select prescription drugs on hand useful for the home treatment of cases of severe influenza is prudent. For instance, simple household items that will be very useful include ibuprofen, acetaminophen, table sugar, and table salt.
